Eric Kidwell

Eric Kidwell is a passionate storyteller and motivational speaker who masterfully helps to align individuals from many areas within an organization toward achieving the same overarching goal of creating world-class patient experiences.

Eric’s skills have been honed over the past 20 years as an entertainer, marketer, coach and trainer. Most recently, as a facilitator, coach and consultant for Integrated Loyalty Systems (ILS), Eric has conducted leadership keynotes and multi-day workshops for many top healthcare institutions including: Dignity Health, Detroit Medical Center's Rehab Institute of Michigan, Mercy Medical Group, Baystate Health's Outpatient Pediatrics, Women’s Services, Northampton Ambulatory Center and Franklin Medical Center. 

Prior to joining ILS, Eric was recruited by Riverside Health System in Virginia to lead Strategy, Marketing and Development. He immediately spearheaded the revamping of the health system’s new employee orientation program and created an engaging on-the-job experience for all new team members to experience  firsthand what it was like to be a patient for the day.  He soon became the primary trainer for the company’s 10,000 care team members, teaching clinicians and staff Caring Out Loud

He started his career as an entertainer, performing in USO shows in Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Spain and onboard the USS America in the Mediterranean Ocean. His entertainment experience translated to 17 years in broadcast television as a Creative Director, Customer Service Trainer and on-air talent. Eric is often called upon to use his expertise to facilitate large and small training programs on topics such as elevating the customer/patient experience, leadership development, and departmental coaching. 

Eric's ability to blend in allows him to be an excellent secret shopper of the patient experience. However, much of the source of Eric's material comes from his own personal experience as a patient: with his wife as she gave birth to their four children, his mother who continues to struggle with dementia in a long-term care facility, and his father who recently lost his long battle with lung cancer.
