Pam Arlotto has blazed new trails in healthcare for over 30 years. As President & CEO of Maestro Strategies, LLC she consults with CEOs, Boards and the C-Suite to create new care delivery models, design new information based governance structures and create strategies for high value healthcare.
Pam's role as a national thought leader and change agent began as National President of the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She led execution of the strategy incorporated IT into the association's traditional systems engineering membership. She negotiated HIMSS departure from the American Hospital Association and led the development of two of its first strategic plans. She served as a founding chair of the Center for Healthcare Information Management. In recent years, she facilitated the development of the first business plan for the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), and oversaw the due diligence for HIMSS acquisition of the Dorenfest IHDS+ Database. (HIMSS Analytics).
She currently serves on the Boards of the Georgia Tech Foundation and The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology & Emory University School of Medicine. She also serves on Advisory Boards for several privately held healthcare companies. Previously, Pam held Board positions with Med Share International, The Business School at Georgia Tech and The Georgia Tech Alumni Association. She is a former faculty member in the Healthcare Informatics program at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Pam is well known for the award winning book series, Beyond Return on Investment: Expanding the Value of Healthcare Information Technology. She is a frequent contributor to a variety of healthcare publications. Pam has been featured on National Public Radio and in the Wall Street Journal. She has held executive position with Ernst & Young and Sun Health (Premier). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
